We praise God for the fruitful summer God has given us! We greatly enjoyed our time at Amazing Grace Baptist Camp in Ottawa, KS. The young people made many decisions for Christ, and we saw 14 campers saved! It was a blessing to see the counsellors so spiritually minded as they led several kids to Christ before we even had the first gospel invitation! Our VBS at Mansfield Baptist Temple in Mansfield, OH was a highlight! The church worked very hard running buses, and God blessed with over 400 kids in attendance! The counsellors reported 112 kids saved! We praise the Lord for a soul-winning church!
We loved being with our long-time family friends at Bible Baptist in Tyrone, PA. We had a great group of kids and workers out with 6 saved! We planned to deliver our baby girl in Tyrone, and at Joy’s doctor appointment that week, the doctor said because of the emergency with Carson’s birth, she did not want Joy traveling. So I had to go to Venture of Faith Camp near Valdosta, GA without the family. It was a great week with many decisions (the kids have such tender hearts there) and 9 kids got saved! It was a privilege to meet and hear Evangelist Scott Pauley and Pastor Tim Ruhl preach as well! God really moved in some of those services!
I then continued without the family to Higher Ground Baptist for a VBS in Bay Minette, AL with my college friends Pastor Leo and Ammara Mejia. We had 20 kids saved at VBS, and I got to preach at a juvenile center where we saw 7 teen guys saved! I traveled back to PA to see Joy and Carson for the weekend and then headed to Camp CoBeAc in Prudenville, MI. The folks there were so gracious to me! We saw several decisions and had a couple saved! I drove back to Tyrone, PA and got to preach on that Sunday. Twice, God changed my message five minutes before I went up to preach. After that second message, we had 3 adult men saved! I believe we have seen over 220 saved just this summer! Hallelujah!
I was under the weather for two weeks, but God gave me strength to be with Joy on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 for the birth of our baby girl Addisyn Danae Corn! She weighed a perfect 7lbs 3oz and was 19.5” long. She had some breathing issues a few hours after birth, and it looked like she might have been transferred to another hospital, but God answered prayer and she recovered from those breathing struggles. They released us Friday evening, and we are so enjoying our baby Addie! Her doctor appointments were perfect! Carson is not fully aware of Addie yet, but he is a very happy guy and is doing well. Joy is doing very well; she is the perfect wife and mom!
We continue the evangelism trail on Sunday where I preach in Mount Union, PA. We then travel near Buffalo, NY for a VBS and then to Willingboro, NJ for an evangelistic weekend. After that I preach in Ashland, OH and then do a Magic and Morality near Detroit, MI. We travel to Ponca City, OK for a revival and then to Chanute, KS for a revival and an M&M. We come back to Elkhart, IN for a multi-night M&M, and then head to Lyons, GA for an M&M. Our last meeting before Thanksgiving is back in Salem, IA.
